Adult Ladies League Division 2 Round 3

Well done to our adult team who made the long trip to Murroe last Wednesday night to take on the home side. Athea got off to the perfect start and opened the scoring in the first minute. It was end to end stuff with both sides taking their chances. Athea capitalised  taking some well taken goals and led at the break 3.6 to 10 pts. Despite a resurgence from Murroe / Boher in the second half the Athea backs held strong and it finished 4.6 to 16 pts.

This was very much a young side who stood strong against the intermediate finalists of last year.

Team : Sarah O’ Connor, Amy Ryan, Sinead Hunt, Katie Byrne, Rebekah Daly, Grace Ryan, Isabelle Barrett, Stephanie Woulfe, Rebecca Collins, Emma Scanlon, Aoife Curtain, Maeve Murphy, Jackie Stackpoole, Mary Ita Casey, Molly Ahern, Molly Hunt, Brid Hunt.

Irish Blitz

Bhí lá den scoth againn i bPáirc na nGael inné. Ghlac ceithre scoil páirt i mBlitz trí Gaeilge agus rinne gach imreoir sár iarracht an Ghaeilge a úsáid. Tháinig S.N. Áth an tSléibhe, Scoil Mhuire na mbuachaillí, Mainistir na Féile, Scoil Naomh Fheargus, An Gleann agus Scoil Naomh Iosef, Drom Chollachair. Maith sibh féin!

Bhuaidh Scoil Mhuire na mbuachaillí an duais don scoil is mo a d’úsáid an Ghaeilge is fearr i rith an lae.

Táimid an-bhuíoch do Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha a thug deontas dúinn chun an ócáid seo a bheith againn.
