Update on Developments at Pairc na nGael

During the past week, the final section of our Walking Track was surfaced with tarmacadam, widening this area and making it cleaner and safer for all users. The carpark is due to be be resurfaced this week, we look forward to the completed project.

Step to the Beat

Step to the Beat will return on Thursday November 9th for six weeks from 7pm – 8pm. During this hour, music will pay over our speaker system and those who attend will be free to walk/jog on our track with music playing in the background as a motivational factor and to beat the winter blues! Split the bucket enteries can also be purchased during this hour. Looking forward to seeing you then. Everyone welcome.

Split the Bucket

Congratulations to Margaret Ahern who was last week’s Split the Bucket winner, going home with €501, which was the largest pot to date. The next draw will take place on Monday November 6th. Envelopes can be purchased at Dick Whites, Collins Shop, O’ Riordan’s Pharmacy, Athea Credit Union, Bingo at Con Colbert Hall on Friday nights, Chinese Takeaway, and during events at Pairc na nGael. Thanks to everyone for your continued support which has allowed us to raise €3,780.50 to date since we began the initiative in June.

Club Draw

Draw 4 of the Club Development Draw will take place on Sunday November 12th.

Ladies Junior Football Final

A new date for this years Junior Final still has not been finalised.

Ladies Minor Championship

There was a good win by the minor ladies on Saturday morning coming out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 7:15 to 2:00 in the minor championship V Gerard Griffins.They are away to Cappagh next Sunday morning at 10 am.

Athea Ladies Annual Fundraising Raffle

Our annual fundraising fair day raffle takes place 4th November on fair day. Tickets are currently on sale.

Our next clothes collection will take place Monday 6th November . Bags of clothes can be dropped into the club house or left in the public toilet over the next  weeks for this.

We will accept the following

women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, handbags, belts, all paired shoes, curtains, bed linen, towels and blankets. Duvets / pillows / blankets
