Congratulations to Gerald Griffins Junior team who won the county in Ballyagran last weekend. Bonfires blazed around the parish and everybody was caught up in the excitement of a win after 16 years. Best of luck to the team which now goes on to the Munster final on November 20th. All support will be appreciated.

Sympathies to Pat Massey and his family in Knockdown on the death of his father Patrick from Ardbohill, Rathkeale at the weekend. May he rest in peace.

The Parish Clerks Collection in Loughill/Ballyhahill will take place on weekend of 12/13th November. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

A meeting of the ICA will take place on this Wednesday 9th November at 8.10 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  The guild members would like to congratulate fellow member Daisy on receiving an award recently from the West Limerick Singing club in recognition of her storytelling ability.

It is amazing what how weather can affect us and the world around us. I drove up the country on Monday under a blue sky, lovely sun and surrounded by the beautiful gold and yellow autumn colours. It was perfect and made one feel good and alive. I drove down on Tuesday morning under constant rain and dismal grey skies which sucked the colour out of the trees and hedges. It seemed as if I was on a different planet. It goes to show that there is good and bad, light and dark and constant change, I suppose.

By the time you read this we will know the result of the USA presidential election, for better or worse. Time will tell. But at least we will not have to listen to them berating each other anymore.
