The Killeaney AFC annual social was held last Saturday night in the Knockdown Arms  to the music of Donie and Maura. The club was delighted with the big crowd who attended. Awards were given out as follows:

Player of the Year: Seánie O’Connor

Best Supporter: Kim Mulvihill

Hall of Fame: Jim Geaney

Clubperson of the Year: Joe McGrath

A special presentation was made to Eileen Collins in appreciation for all the washing and ironing the club jerseys down through the years.

The Church Gate Collection for our Parish Clerks in Loughill/Ballyhahill will be held on this weekend  November 10/11. As usual your support for this collection will be  appreciated by Bridget and Frances who do much work behind the scenes.

Yoga Classes continue in the Parish Hall on Wed evenings @ 7pm. Please note that Sunday November 25th is date for this year’s Craft Fair. You can book your table from any member of Hall Committee. It will be another great day where people can showcase their various crafts & talents.

The Drama group, under the direction of Eleanor McSweeney and Caroline Gee intend staging the play Sive on the following dates; November 30th, December 1st, 7th and 8th  in the Parish Hall, Ballyhahill. At present the stage is being prepared and many hands are busy behind the scenes to ensure that this production will be done to a high standard! The members of the two casts include Ger and Brendan Stack, Orlaith McSweeney, Laura Kerin, Helen Hayes, Norma Nolan, Jayne Daly, Peg Prendeville, Pat Noonan, Tony O’Shaughnessy, Terence McSweeney, Martin Halpin. As the Hall can only take so many, bookings must be made (nearer to the time) to ensure you get a seat. More details during the month.
