This fine weather has us all in good form. It is such a pleasure to wake up to sunshine and admire the red sun setting again in the evening. We hope it lasts longer than a few days.

Congratulations to all the 22 children who were confirmed in the faith in Ballyhahill Church by Bishop Brendan Leahy recently. Thanks to the teachers and parents who helped in the preparation. Thanks also to the parish volunteers who helped to clean and prepare the Church and grounds in readiness for the occasion.

Congratulations to the two  Gerald Griffins girls Dymphna O’Brien and my neighbour Ciara O’Grady who were part of the AIB team that won the All Ireland Interfirm Ladies Football on Saturday May 26th. This is their 2nd year in a row winning the title. Well done
