Match:

Well on Saturday last our neighbours St. Kieran’s met NewcastleWest here in our pitch in the West Senior Championship. There was a big crowd of supporters in attendance on the day, all being very complimentary of the beautiful pitch and track and with the sun shining on the day it was indeed an added bonus! St. Kieran’s came out winners by 3pts on a final scoreline of 2-7 to 0-10.

The club wishes all the best to Jamie Collins and his bride to be Siobhan who are getting married in Killarney this Thursday.

Registration

Registration will be collected at training over the coming weeks. Letters have been distributed with details.

Pitch:

I was up at the pitch on Sunday evening walking the track and I met a mother who had 6 kids with her and they all running around. The older ones kicking ball, improving their skills and the little ones just enjoying the freedom, get all the kids out and away from their electronic devices, TV etc– it’s great for their minds and bodies and parents sanity.

Mick Mackey Draw:

If anyone would like to join the Mick Mackey draw you can do so up to the end of the week. Tickets are €100 and there are some fabulous prizes, from cars to cash etc. By buying a ticket you are also helping the Club who get a portion of the sales. You can get more information or tickets from Paul on 087-6501673 or Liz O’Sullivan on 087-6699783 or any member of Athea GAA.
