Match:

Sunday November 13:

U21:

Athea/Mountcollins Rangers 0-14

Feohanagh/Knockaderry 0-03

Athea/Mountcollins Rangers U21s have qualified for the West Semi-final following a convincing win over Feohanagh/Knockaderry in Newcastle West on Sunday last. Athea/Mountcollins Rangers totally dominated the match from start to finish; we scored nine unanswered points in the first twenty five minutes all from play. James Ryan scoring five points, Mikie O’Mahony scoring two points and a point each for Stephen Cahill and Jason Kelly. Our backs led by Dylan Griffin at center back were outstanding. Time and time again they kept the oppositions forwards from scoring. Our mid field pairing of Jonathan Fitzgerald and Stephen Cahill were on top through-out the game. Feohanagh/Knockaderry pointed a free just before half-time to leave the score at the break Athea/Mountcollins Rangers 0-09, Feohanagh/Knockaderry 0-01. The second half continued like the first with James Ryan scoring another two points from play and his bother Sean increased our lead with another point with ten minutes gone in the half. An expected comeback from Feohanagh/Knockaderry did not materialise with Stephen Cahill and Mikie O’Mahony exchanging points with the opposition before the final whistle. The final score read Athea/Mountcollins Ranger 0-14, Feohanagh/Knockaderry 0-03.
