John Sheahan, the last member of the legendary Dubliners Group, has put his thoughts down on paper. He has been writing poetry for a number of years and now they are included in his debut collection of poems and lyrics titled Fiddle Dreams. In recent years his poems have been read and performed at countless events where music and the spoken word take to the stage together. In Fiddle Dreams his subjects range from childhood and family through art and craft. His main focus though is the music that sustains him and the musicians who have played so significant a part along the way. The book is a collection of heart-felt, light footed verses and a unique insight into the mind of a musician for decades now at the heart of Irish cultural life. John, whose mother came from Ardagh and his father from Glin, is wished well with the book which can be got in good bookshop, or online at www.dedaluspress.com Phone (01)8392034
