Athea Tidy Towns

Athea Tidy Towns wish to thank all those who contributed so generously to our annual church gate collection recently. The fantastic sum of €1,553 was raised. Our AGM will take place at the Library on Tuesday night December 16th at 8pm where we will have a run down of our activities throughout the year and our future plans for the development of our village.

We are always looking for new members so everyone is most welcome.

Christmas Walk

The annual Great southern Trail Christmas Walk will be held on Saturday 27th December from the Railway Station in Abbeyfeale to the Kerry border. The walk is 3km approx. each way, is level and is suitable for all ages. Start time is 2:30pm agus beidh cupán tae ag crioch.

For cycle enthusiasts there will be a 10km cycle to Barnagh and back at the same time.
