 RELEASE OF MAURA NOLAN’S ALBUM

‘Am le Chéile/Time Together’ features 13 tracks, including a mixture of tunes and songs. Maura, who originally hails from Knockfinisk, Athea, and now lives in Kilcolman, is an established artist performing locally and internationally for the past 30 years. This is Maura’s first solo production and was inspired through her ongoing musical engagement with residents of St. Ita’s Community Hospital and local nursing homes.

Many songs were gifted to her through the memories of these elderly residents, transporting them to bygone times, It was through this exchange that Maura furthered her appreciation for the profound impact that music and song have at any stage of one’s life.

To celebrate the release of this unique production, two public launches will take place. The first will be in St, Ita’s Community Hospital, Newcastle West on Thursday, 30th January at 2 pm followed by a second launch at the Top of the Town, Athea on Friday, 14th February at 9pm. Lots of music and craic ensured at both venues.

CDs are on sale from reception in St. Ita’s, CD launch parties and at Maura’s ongoing performances. Cost of CD is €15 with a percentage of the proceeds being generously donated to the ‘Friends of St. Ita’s.
