Tributes Paid to two Great Men

Athea & District Credit Union hosted a special function on Sunday last to mark the retirement of John O’Connell and John Joe Barrett, two of its greatest stalwarts.  With Timmy Woulfe the acting MC tributes were paid to both men and presentations made for their dedicated service over the years. Everybody enjoyed the evening with refreshments provided by Coleen Reidy.

We would like to wish both John and John Joe the very best of health and happiness for the future and to say a sincere thank you for their years of service through the Credit Union to the people of the parish and beyond.
