People who may have a few Euros in their local Post Office or who hold Prize Bonds received bad news over the Bank Holiday weekend from our beloved Government. They announced further cuts to their saving products after recent pressure from our failed banks who demanded a level playing field.  The ordinary people of Ireland trust their Post Office and Credit Union where they are made welcome and treated with respect. People are not wanted in our Banks (which are still open) anymore and are directed to a machine to do their business. The staff has no say in the matter as they receive their orders from a higher authority. The elderly customers prefer to conduct their business with a staff member as their computer skills may be limited. The Banks aided by a poor performing Government treat the people who bailed them out with contempt.
