LAST MAN STANDING
– WE HAVE A WINNER –
We completed round thirteen last weekend and after some nail biting in the relevant games on Saturday we now have an outright winner. Going into the weekend games we had three in contention, two went for Swansea to win at home to Norwich with the third person going for Southampton to win at home to Reading. Having impressed the previous week when winning 2-0 away to Arsenal many people would have fancied Swansea to do the business at home to The Canaries but football can be a funny old game and they surprisingly went down 4-3 at The Liberty Stadium. Meanwhile at St Marys Southampton ground out a 1-0 win over an improving Reading side to leave us with just one person standing. We would like to congratulate Seanie Culhane from Glin on winning the €300 prize in our last man standing competition sponsored by Leo Geoghegan of Gale Foods, Athea and again we thank Leo for the generous sponsorship.
NEW COMPETITION
The next Last Man Standing Competition will be getting underway in the very near future and at the moment we have tickets available and on sale so make sure to get your ticket a.s.a.p.
