1940, an unusual coincidence took place when Palm Sunday (which is one
week prior to Easter Sunday) occurred on the same day as St Patrick’s

able to wear both the shamrock and the palm on the same day. The next
such occurrence is in the year 2391.

Rivers do not drink their own water, Trees do not eat their own fruit

The sun does not shine on itself and Flowers do not spread their
Fragrance for themselves. Living for others is a Rule of Nature. We

FARMERS: The study also found that a perceived lack of autonomy
amplified dairy farmers’ intention to leave the sector.

The farmers studied admitted to feeling powerless over key aspects of
their businesses, particularly aspects imposed by external factors,
such as milk contracts and governmental agencies, which culminated in
working conditions being perceived as more stressful. The study used
‘milk prices’ to illustrate this argument, indicating that the
unpredictable and uncontrollable nature of milk prices was deemed the
most challenging aspect, rather than the price itself.

LAWNS: Turning lawns into meadows can have big benefits for people,
wildlife and the climate. Here’s why ‘meadowscaping’ has become the
latest gardening craze. When Sara Weaner Cooper and her husband bought
their first home in Pennsylvania, they knew they didn’t want a
perfectly manicured front lawn like their neighbours. They wanted
something that was more than just turf – a flourishing, wild meadow
home to diverse species of plants and animals.

They spell to communicate.  They have had a prayer ministry for some
years now and have a Facebook page called Silent Servants of the

prayer intentions to them. They then pray and offer their sufferings
for all the prayer intentions. They recently started a sodality called
Silent Servants of the Divine Mercy Sodality.  The Sodality holds a
monthly online prayer meeting on Zoom.  The hope is that other people
who cannot attend a prayer meeting in person can join them in praying

SANDES: “Less than one hundred years ago, the farm now occupied by

Less than one hundred years ago, the farm now occupied by Steven
Stack, Moyvane, Newtownsandes, was owned by Steven Sandes, who lived
at Oakpark, Tralee. Sandes had a steward called Watson looking after
the place. He had many servants as he was dairying. There was a fort
in one of the fields, traces of it can still be seen. One day Watson
ordered his workmen to level the fort fence. The men did not like to
meddle with the fort and refused till Watson would dig the first sod
off the fence. When he did the men levelled the fence. Watson always
rode on a saddled pony looking after the large farm and farm hands.
Some time after the knocking down of the fort fence Watson was riding
on the same pony on the [?] road and when opposite the fort on the
side of that road his pony suddenly fell dead.

“James Cunningham and Myles Cunningham lived in the same farm house in
Kilbaha, now occupied by a man named Kearney.”

James Cunningham and Myles Cunningham lived in the same farm house in
Kilbaha, now occupied by a man named Kearney. James and Myles were
brothers. James Cunningham was my grand-father. He was a big able man
and was married to a woman named Woulfe from Cratloe near Abbeyfeale.
The Whiteboys had a great set on my grandfather. They wanted him to
join them and go with them. He had to hide from them several times.
One night when they came for him they couldn’t find him and for
revenge began jumping their horses over his potato pits till they
levelled them to the ground. They put Myles on his knees and made him
swear he was not James. James had to leave his house altogether and
did not return to it till the days of the Whiteboys were over.
