GLÓRACH NOTES:  PRO Lorcan Curtin writes;   Our final Bingo of the year took place on Monday, with plenty of hampers raffled off on the night.  Thanks to all who sponsored prizes and also to everyone who attended, we will be returning in the New Year on Nollaig na mBan, Monday, January 6th.  Plenty of other events in the line of film, drama and concerts planned for early 2025 as well, but for now we’ll enjoy a well-earned break.  From all of us at the Glórach Theatre, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us at the various events that we held throughout 2024, Nollaig shona agus athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go léir.

NOONAN’S CHRISTMAS LIGHTS:  Tom Moloney from Broadford has launched a book which is on sale at Moloney’s Daybreak, An Siopa Milsean and the Greyhound and Pet Shop with proceeds going to Noonan’s Lights.  The book is suitable as a Christmas gift.

EU COUNCIL POSITIVE ACTION PROGRAMME:  Each year, the EU Council offers paid traineeships to EU nationals with a disability.  Trainees in the positive action programme will receive a monthly grant of 2,065.32 euros net.  Traineeships are offering twice a year, with each traineeship lasting five months.  For information contact + 32 22813677 traineeships@ consilium. MAUREEN’S OFF TO THE PANTO:  Three seats remaining.   The Killorglin Panto Players are putting on their 61st Pantomime – Rumpelstiltskin and if there are enough people interested we will book tickets for the afternoon of January 26. We will go to the Matinee performance 3pm. and afterwards on the homeward journey we will stop off for dinner. SSE RENEWABLES: The SSE Renewable fund opened on Monday December 2 and
will close on Friday January 10. Community based projects within a
20km radius of Tournafulla, Rathcahill, Dromada and Athea wind farms in Limerick and Lenamore wind farm in Kerry are invited to apply.
Preference will be given to those within 5km. Application forms and

CHILDREN’S CHOIR:   Children can be brought to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 5.30pm for practice before Mass. It is open to children from 1st to 6th Class. New Members are most welcome. BOXES FOR DISTRIBUTION:   The annual church donation boxes are available at the church for collection. We ask our usual distributors or volunteers willing to help deliver some to call after any mass at the weekend or during to week to collect the boxes for your area. Contact Anne at the sacristy.
