Another Huge Congrats to all those who organised and helped out in making the Corpus Christi Procession the great success that it was on Saturday evening last after Mass. A great crowd joined the First Communion Children, the Choir, those who led the procession with the Cross and the Canopy Holders, the Altar Servers the Clergy, those who adorned the lovely Altar near the Hall and of course all the great ladies who gave everyone tea and cakes etc in the Hall after, it was very welcome after the cold evening and of course all who donated the goodies and baking. It was indeed another great community effort by the people of Athea.
Congrats again to the Tidy Towns Volunteers who put up the lovely hanging baskets throughout the Village during the week. It’s hard work doing the watering etc. so well done to each and every one of them.
The Sue Ryder Charity Shop has re-opened in Abbeyfeale. I have been asked if anyone is doing a clear out they would be grateful of unwanted items, clothes books etc.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads on this Sunday 16 th . Have a great day and enjoy being spoiled.
