The time has come. On this Friday and Saturday night the Abha Bhán Players will stage A TOMB WITH A VIEW by Norman Robbins at 8pm in Ballyhahill Parish Hall. Doors open at 7.30 pm. If you have not already booked your ticket do so now on  086-8458821 or 069 82106 (business hours) There are only a few seats left. Cash only. No card. Admission is €15 but this includes raffle and refreshments. The cast of ten directed by Eleanor McSweeney will repeat the performance on Saturday 6th. It is a kind of “Whodunnit” – a thriller with a good dash of humour. We hope you enjoy it as much as the cast have enjoyed rehearsing it.

I wrote the following recently on learning that Maria Vaughan/Reidy has moved her hair salon to her home place adjacent to Vaughan Furniture in Moyvane. I wish her luck in her brand new modern premises.

Best wishes to Urban Angels

My heart did break this morning

When passing up through glin

To see that URBAN ANGELS

Was bleak and bare within,

It used to be my comfort spot

Where I threw away all cares

And enjoyed my cup of coffee

While Maria did my hair.

But now I’m in a tangle

And may have to cross the border

To Moyvane in Co. Kerry

To put my hair in order.

Best wishes to you and staff Maria

As you start with a clean slate

You will go from strength to strength

Outside your parents gate.
