The world is in a turbulent place at the moment, floods in South Korea and Europe burning up. Even though our own weather is not pleasant at the moment we cannot complain as we have no great extremes of water or heat. A little bit of sunshine would be welcome though.
I enjoyed a lovely day out in Dingle and Slea Head over a week ago. Organised by the Ballyhahill Going Strong group, a bus load of over 50 people were lucky to get a sunny day to enjoy the West Kerry scenery followed by a lovely meal in the Listowel Arms. It did not rain til we were getting on the bus in Listowel to come home. Thanks to Lizzie Woulfe who did the organising and to the whole committee for a well organised day.
I must congratulate my own grandson Noah Daly and his friends Tadhg Costello, Jimmy Mullane and Harry Wallace who have been selected to attend the FAI Emerging Talent programme training days for the this month. They go into Limerick each day for their training. I am hearing good things about them and wish them well in their passion for soccer.
