HAPPY DAYS
A few congratulations this week to the newly weds in our parish. Firstly good wishes are extended to Seamus White son of Margaret and Ned White of Coole East who was recently married to Brenda Sheehan in the church in Mountcollins, followed by their reception in The Woodlands Hotel in Adare, where they were joined by Family, Neighbours and Friends all having a great day. Congrats to the newly weds and all the best for the Future.
Last week it was the turn of Daphne Gleeson, daughter of Joe and Bebe of Upper Athea, who was married to Tom Geoghegan in Ardagh Church. Canon Tony Mullins performed the Nuptial Ceremony. It was off to The Devon Inn then for the Reception where a lovely day was had by all who attended. Sincere Congrats to the Happy Couple and here’s to every happiness.
Well if everyone believed in the Tale of long ago that if it rained on July 15th—St Swithin’s Day, we would get 40 DAYS of Rain. Hopefully this wont happen as with the last few weeks we have had more than enough of wet conditions. Hopefully the Kids will get a few nice days before schools re-open as time is flying and before we know it August will be on our Doorstep. Then we have to look at the other side of the World in the European Countries and USA where the temperatures are so High they are dying and can hardly breathe with the humidity .Many I’m sure prefer Irish weather – a jacket and umbrella and off you go.
Sincere Sympathy is extended to Bernie Reidy on the passing of her Brother Seamus Fitzmaurice in Australia. May the light of Heaven be his.
VAPING has been on the News a lot this week with some countries banning Vapes claiming that the young who may have never taken to smoking Cigarettes are now addicted to the colourful Vapes with unusual Tastes. I wonder will it happen here. Walking the roads they are thrown all over the place with the most unusual names.
