DEATHS: We offer our sympathies to the Cotter family, Cratloe on the death of Frankie, Tralee. We also offer sympathies to retired Cllr. Michael O’Kelly N.T. on the death of his daughter’s husband Terry Brown, Limerick. Finally we offer our sympathies to the Fitzgerald family on the death of the late Geoffrey.

WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to John Mulcahy and Monique Oosterveen who were married here in Abbeyfeale on Saturday 15th April. We wish them every happiness in their married life together.
NOONAN’S LIGHTS: Tony, Hannah and Siobhan are delighted to announce that their annual fundraiser has raised in excess of €30,000 in their Christmas fundraiser of 2022.
FLEADH BY THE FEALE: Next weekend from Thursday to Monday inclusive the Fleadh in its 29th year is jam packed with events from street busking and the Gathering night in Thomas TJ’s and the ceili and the Singing Club in Philips Ramble Inn and the youth trad sessions in Donal and Ann’s and the storytelling and the workshops and the gig rig in the Square each night and the All Ireland championship junior and senior bone playing and the celebrity concert to mention just some of the events taking place here in Abbeyfeale all over the May Bank Holiday w/e. There’s even a Whistling Workshop – miss it and regret it all year.
ADORATION; The weekly adoration resumes in the Blessed Sacrament chapel every Friday from after 10am Mass until 7pm. You are asked to sign the chart available on the altar rails to commit to one hour every week.
ABBEYFEALE ON FILM: The Glorach screened Abbeyfeale on Film which was produced and directed by John Nelligan on 5 nights during November & December last year . We wish to acknowledge
receipt of €300 received from the Glorach committee 10% of the proceeds of the film.
DOG SHOW: Abbeyfeale Town Park will be holding its annual dog show on Sunday, May 14 at 2pm. As usual, there will be a fantastic raffle with great prizes on the day.

DOLLY DAY: The O’Connor family are continuing to fund raise for Kerry Hospice and Comfort for Chemo. This time the late Jim’s sister Cora is organising a Dolly Day in honour of Dolly Parton when an attempt will be made to establish a Guinness World Record for the most people dressed head to toe as Dolly Parton. Each entrant must be instantly recognisable as Dolly Parton and will have to wear an outfit that Dolly has been photographed in ie blue jeans, boots, guitar – the big chest is mandatory as well as the blond wig. You can register online on eventbrite / dolly day. Cora has form with making the Guinness Book of Records as she it was who organised Nunday in Listowel some years ago.
