A SPRING BLESSING FOR YOU ALL
May Sunny mornings invigorate your soul,
May the smell of fresh flowers fill your Home.
May rainy days and thunderstorms slow your pace.
May your days be filled with outdoor fun.
May the smell of freshly cut grass and Spring Breezes remind you that—-
CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL.
And isn’t it wonderful February is almost with us this week one debates it’s the beginning of Spring, others say its a bit later but we will take it the earlier the better and you know what, there is a great stretch already.
Congrats to Rory O’Mahony, Lower Rd. who celebrated his 18th birthday at the weekend at Brown Joe’s along with his family and friends.
This Wednesday is St. Brigid’s Day and next Monday is a new Bank Holiday in her memory. There is a special mass at 9.30. am here in our church on Wednesday and if you have St. Brigid’s Crosses made you are invited to bring them along to be blessed for your homes. Also at this mass candles will be blessed for Candlemas Day and to honour St. Blaise the blessing of Throats will be after 7pm Mass on Friday evening.
Having gone for a walk on the beach in Ballybunion the other Day, one realises we are living in an ideal location. The smell of the salty Air, Sea-weed and all that is Healthy hits you straight away. Now all the restaraunts etc were closed but give it another while and no doubt it will be Buzzing. Nothing that a lick of Paint won ‘t add to the seaside Town and entice people to flock there, already one can notice many new homes and old buildings being given a new Lease of Life which is great.
The very best of luck to Brian O’Connor, Lower Athea, and Megan Broderick, Templeathea who have left on their travels to Australia. Wishing them safe travels and an enjoyable time. No doubt they will come across some of the rest of the Athea young people who have gone for the OZ EXPERIENCE.!!!
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:-
MAKE SURE KIDS HAVE MORE GREEN TIME
THAN SCREEN TIME.
