We, in Ballyhahill, are on a high since the weekend. Great crowds attended the four performances of The Abha Bhán Players and The Buds of Ballybunion. It was worth all the long nights and months of rehearsing just to experience the buzz around the parish. Everybody thought it was a superb performance. As a member of the group I have to say we enjoyed every minute and were happy that it all went off well. Thanks to Paddy O’Rourke, Eilís and Eileen for handling the ticket sales and bookings. It was greatly appreciated. Thanks to Tom Moore of Janus Designs for the beautiful poster. A special thank you to the Parish Hall committee members for their patience while we took over the hall and backstage in recent weeks. Without the Hall in our parish we, drama players, could not function. We are very lucky to have such a fine facility in the parish. Thank you to all, and there were many of you, who helped with the raffles and teas and to all who donated raffle prizes. Thanks to DB Printers for the lovely programme. Lastly thank you to all the members of the group who have put in hours and hours of work and practice and physical hard work, under the direction of Eleanor McSweeney, to ensure that everybody enjoyed the show. Thanks to spouses, partners and children who have had to endure long absences while The Buds rehearsed!
You have not seen the last of The Abha Bhán Players. Watch this space!
