Sympathies to the O’Connell family, Finnoe on the death of Mary O’Connell after some months of illness. Mary was always a happy woman with a big smile for all. May she rest in peace.

Sympathies too to Pat Sheahan and family Turraree on the death of his wife Bridie. Every death in a family leaves a big hole for those who live on.

There was a lovely Harvest Mass in Ballyhahill last Sunday where fruit and veg and straw were brought up as gifts to say thanks to our Creator for the bountiful harvest.

The Abha Bhán Players are very busy getting ready for the production of The Buds of Ballybunion on November 18, 19, 25  and 26 in Ballyhahill Parish Hall at 7.30 pm. Tickets will be available at Paddy O’Rourke’s in Ballyhahill in a week or two or through any of the members of the group. Sure ye know the most of them I am sure. Numbers are limited each night so decide which night ye intend to attend. Admission is €10.  It is a rather long play so you will get plenty value for money.

Meanwhile the Ballyhahill Rambling House takes place this Wednesday from 8 to 11pm. Usually the proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Hall but this week’s proceeds are in aid of Cancer research. Bígi ann.
