Clounleharde has lost its oldest resident. Everybody was very sad to hear that Liam Enright passed away last week and was buried on his 97th birthday in Templeathea cemetery last Saturday. He got a great send-off with lovely tributes paid to him reminding us of his smiling nature and gentlemanly ways. He would be charmed, I think, to meet Queen Elizabeth as she bade farewell to this world also. Both of them were the same age give or take a few months. Sincere sympathies to Carol and Dave Noonan and family who looked after “Uncle Liam” since his brother Jimmy and his wife Peggy died in 2006. He was treated like a King. May he rest in peace united with all his siblings again. My memory is of him and Jimmy forever walking the greyhounds in the local roads. Two dapper pleasant men.
