U14 Girls

Our U14s play their first championship game this Thursday 11th August at home to St. Ailbes at 7.30. We wish them the best of luck.

U16 Girls semi final

Athea 10.6   Murroe 4.5

The U16 girls qualified for this year’s final after a hard fought win away to Murroe/ Boher on Monday evening. Leading at half time 3.3 to 1.3  They excelled in second had notching up a further 6.3. Murroe / Boher did not give up without a fight and kept on going to the very end.

The opposition  for this year’s final has yet to be decided.

Well done to the girls and management team for all the work they have put in over the last number of months. Great support from lots of the parents. The final will take place in 2 weeks time. Watch this space.

U17

The Shannon Gaels/Athea U17s are playing St Kieran’s in Athea on this Wednesday evening Aug 10th  at 7pm, best of luck to all involved.

U19 

Shannon Gaels Athea are playing the County U19 A football championship semifinal on this Thursday Aug 11th at 6.45 in Newcastle West v Cappagh/Rathkeale.  We had wins over Ballylanders, Adare and Ballysteen to get to this stage.
