Best of luck to the Athea  and Glin combination -Shannon Gaels, who this Thursday evening play Rathkeale-Cappagh in Newcastle at 6.45 in the County Semi- Final.

The GAA club draw will be taking place in the next few weeks with some great prizes for just 50 Euro, you could be lucky. At the same time you are helping to improve our GAA grounds and pitch etc.

Great news that Athea Tidy Towns are GOING FOR GOLD. I think it’s our Duty as a community to all give a helping HAND and do a little each time we are in around the village. Whether it be picking up others rubbish or pulling a WEED or dead heading the flowers,

it’s with everyone’s help that Athea could be further improved if they were lucky enough to win the great prize. So please help out and give a Helping Hand both young and not so young.

And wouldn’t it be a great exercise for our young people too.

Thought for the week:-

Ageing is an extraordinary process whereby you become the person you always should have been.
