GLÓRACH NEWS:  PRO Lorcan Curtin writes; “While all involved at the Glórach have enjoyed the recent burst of fine weather, there has been no extended siesta for us as we prepare for a busy Autumn schedule.  First up are the dynamic duo of Trevor Sexton and Ger O’Donnell, who make a welcome return to the Theatre on Saturday, September 3, bringing a fine repertoire of songs and skilled interweaving of guitar playing.  Daoiri Farrell appeared at the venue just before the country went into lockdown in the Spring of 2020, and delivered a most memorable gig, bringing a fresh and vibrant take on many traditional songs and ballads, and we look forward to his return on Friday, September 16.  Both concerts start at 8 pm, and tickets can be booked online at https://www.glorachabbeyfeale.com/, or by ringing 0871383940”.

SUPPORTING CATHOLIC PARENTS: On Tuesday, September 6, there will be a conference on Zoom hosted by ‘The Hook of Faith’. The topic of the conference will be: ‘Supporting Catholic Parents:  Sharing the Catholic Vision of Love and Human Sexuality with Our Children’. Thespeaker will be Fr Chris Hayden, author of the recently published book:‘ A Better Vision: Understanding and Living the Catholic Vision of Human Sexuality’.

EXHIBITION OF ROSE OF TRALEE DRESSES:  An exhibition currently running at Kerry County Museum includes 30 dresses worn over six decades, from Alice O’Sullivan’s gown in 1959 to the present Rose of Tralee,  the Rose of Tralee Historical Exhibition is on display until August 31.
