WELCOME. MAY

May you be Happy, May you be well,

May you be Safe, May you find comfort.

May you have Strength, May you have Courage.

May you find Healing, May you have Peace.

May you have Joy, May you be filled with loving Kindness.

May you be Blessed Today and Always.

As we start off the Month of May we remember this is a special Month and lots of homes have their little May Altar up. In times gone by everyone had a May Altar in their homes with wild flowers etc to compliment it. This Saturday night at mass the First Communion children will lead the procession as Our Lady’s Statue is Crowned.

We remember those in our parish who may not be well at the moment, and also all the college students who are presently starting their Exams. Already May is starting off so nice with temperatures this week so good.

Well done to Kathleen Barrett of Knocknagorna along with her husband Tommy who featured on Super Garden on RTE during the week. Kathleen came across very well and her garden turned out beautiful. She is wished all the very best for the competition Final.

Sincere congrats to John Sexton, son of Nora-Anne and Eamon of Upper Athea, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday night last at Brown Joe’s. A great night was enjoyed by one and all.

Well done to Adelle O’Sullivan who had a great performance in the All Ireland Scór in Killarney last Sunday. She had great support from the GAA and her Parish and did her Family, herself and her Parish Proud.

Next weekend a collection will be taken up at mass for the WEBCAM. This has been invaluable especially during Covid and enabled everyone to watch Mass, see funerals, weddings and so much more. An amount of parishioners and individuals from every corner of the World tune in at the weekends to Mass.

Your support would be most welcome to help pay the cost of the yearly bill for such a benefit to our Parish.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:-

Tell everyone what you want to do – and someone will help you to do it.
