It seems that Knockdown is losing a lot of its people in recent weeks. This week we said goodbye to Tomás Geoghegan aged 93 years. His wife Han died three years ago and Tomás found the time without her very lonely since then so I’m sure he is glad to be reunited with her now having had a long and happy life together in this world. Sympathies to his sons Patrick and Donal and daughter Maura and all their extended families. May he rest in peace.

A Rambling House session will be held in Ballyhahill Hall on this Wednesday night at 8pm. The last one was a great success and it is predicted that this one will be even better. All are welcome. The Hall is a lovely comfortable venue with soft seats and a newly varnished floor for dancing. I wish to pay credit to the Hall committee for the great job they are doing.

Easter has arrived upon us without us hardly noticing.

Times for the ceremonies in Loughill/Ballyhahill are as follows;

Holy Thursday: Ballyhahill 7.30 pm

Good Friday: Ballyhahill Stations of the Cross 3pm

Loughill The Passion 6pm

Holy Saturday: Ballyhahill Mass 7.30 pm

Sunday: Kilteery pier Mass at 5.30 am

Loughill 10 am

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter weekend. The weather should be good too, we hope.
