GLORACH BINGO:  After donning the glitzy red jacket and matching shoes on stage with the Newcastlewest Musical Society over the weekend, Tom Madigan was back to wearing more prosaic clothes on Sunday as he took up the number-calling mantle at our drive in Bingo on Sunday.  His voice wasn’t affected by his vocal exploits over three nights, and with the dry, cold weather present on the day, a large crowd ensued.  Hopefully our charmed relationship with the climate will continue into December, see ye all next Sunday at the GAA grounds at the starting time of 1.30 pm.

We pray for those who are broken hearted, those experiencing loneliness or emptiness, those for whom the joy has gone out of life. May the presence of Jesus, who wept with Martha and Mary on the death of their brother Lazarus, comfort those who most need it at this time. May Mary, the mother of Jesus, who stood at the foot of the cross as Jesus died for us all, give us strength in moments of sadness and grief whenever we mourn for those who have departed this earthly life and made their home with God.
