FR KEVIN celebrated his 65th birthday on 12th October. On the same day he was on RTÉ Radio 1 in the morning and RTÉ Television that evening. He thanks you for your greetings, gifts and very kind words with regards ‘Confessors’.

COVID-19 Update. North Kerry Harriers – Following a committee meeting – we have sadly made the decision to close our 20/21 season to all visitors and we will now be operating on a membership only basis.

ABBEYFEALE FARMERS’ MARKET in Abbeyfeale: Helga is back with a fine selection of locally grown vegetables which are chemical free. We also have a new stall holder – Máire Griffen from Beale who has set up a new company called OrganiGo making organic noodles from beetroot, butternut squash and courgettes.
LOCAL man Padraig Keane and Cork friend Tom O’Regan are doing charity 100km cycle before climbing the to the 707m summit of Knockboy, which straddles the borders of Cork and Kerry to the west of Guagán Barra. All in aid of MDI.

LIMERICK MARATHON: King John’s Castle was the backdrop for the presentation of cheques totalling more than €36,000 to a dozen local charities by the organisers of this year’s Cook Medical Limerick Women’s Mini Marathon. Because of Covid-19, the virtual event took place over the last weekend of September and attracted more than 2,300 participants.
