I was very sad to hear of the death of two natives of Glenagragra last week. Sincere sympathies to Margaret Feury and her family on the death of Jackie Feury and to Seamus Long and family on the death of his brother Micheal in Texas. May they rest in peace.
Una O’Sullivan from Ballyhahill also died recently. She was a fellow member of the ICA for many years and was a very pleasant woman. Sympathies to her family.
Well done to Laura Enright, Dromreask, who now lives in Canada, and who is having great success in her young life. She works in Television in Vancouver as production assistant but also has a website EnrightEdits.com where she offers proofreading and editing services of all kinds. She has a BA in Creative Writing and MA Broadcast Journalism and is a published writer and documentary maker. Laura was one of the singers in the Cailín Ban play last year in Glin. We wish her continued success.
It is almost like old times in Knockdown to see cars outside the pub again. Ta is doing his best to keep everybody safe while enjoying an evening out.
Thankfully the children back at school have had a good first week. It is not looking good, generally, for Limerick in the immediate future so we must all play our part to keep each other safe and avoid unnecessary gatherings for the time being.
Congratulations to all those who got their Leaving Cert results on Monday. May life be good to them in the future.
