REACH ACTIVE WORKS: Permanent road resurfacing will take place between Ahavoher, Graveyard and Knockanure Substation, works will be completed under a stop and go system. (Weather Dependant). Minor works will continue along the Kilmorna, Trien, Athea and Moyvane – Knockanure Roads next week, all works will be complete under stop and go or traffic light traffic management system. DEATH of Joan Keane born 28/05/1921, Passed away Melbourne 23/08/2020 Daughter of Daniel and Johanna Keane, of Carrueragh, Knockanure, Moyvane. Sister to Peg, Lil, Mary, Teresa & Dan (all dec). Loved Auntie Joan to many. Thanks to all at Mary Mackillop/St Vincent’s Care Services, Hawthorn East for their care since 2012.
DEATH occurred on Thursday 27th August 2020 of Sr. Paschal Hegarty Presentation Convent, Killarney, / Listowel. Sr. Paschal. Dearly loved and sadly missed by her sisters Sr. Martina, Sheila (Carey), Nora (Hurley) and Teresa (D’Arcy), brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, her Presentation Sisters Community and many dear friends. Predeceased by her sisters Annie, Elizabeth and Sr. Kathleen and her brother Martin. Burial in Kilsinane Cemetery, Listowel.
The death has occurred of Mary Cullinane (née O’Callaghan) Upper Fairhill, Cork – On August 6th, 2020. Mary (nee O’Callaghan), Upper Fair Hill, wife of the late James and mother of Jim, Philip, Marie (McLean), Fiona (Dorgan) & Irene (Morrissey). Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

THE PERMANENT DIACONATE – Final Call – The diocese of Kerry is seeking candidates who feel they may have a calling to be permanent deacons. The diocese already has six deacons. The hope is to begin a “come and see” programme this autumn as a few have already expressed interest. Information leaflets on the permanent diaconate are available in the church. MON 7TH FILM CLUB – DATING AMBER- Dating Amber is an Irish comedy-drama film directed by David Freyne. The film features two closeted teenagers in 1990s Ireland who decide to start a fake relationship.

BECOME A BIODIVERSITY LEADER IN YOUR COMMUNITY WITH WEST LIMERICK RESOURCES: We are now taking applications for an online training programme to help you become a Biodiversity Leader in your community. The training is free of charge and will be held as a series of webinars taking place on Wednesday evenings, beginning September 16, and running for eleven weeks. A certificate will be awarded to each participant who completes 75% or more of the course. Three trainers will cover different aspects of Biodiversity. Places are limited to 30 and participants will need access to internet and a smart phone or laptop. Due to Covid-19 the entire course will be held online through Zoom and assistance can be given to show participants how to link in.
