The recent spell of wet weather has highlighted the condition of many of our rural roads. The very wet weather we got since August 2019, and the lack of attention since the lockdown is really showing with lots of potholes appearing from surface water running and lodging on surfaces. All the rural roads  need to be examined and repaired before their surfaces are further eroded. They need to be attended to now before some motorist badly damages their vehicles. The rural dwellers pay their motor tax as well as the urban dwellers, and a little fair play would be appreciated.

Peter Burke, singer songwriter, was the guest on a Story and a Song on West Limerick 102fm on Saturday last from 3-4pm. He is one of the leading entertainers on the social dancing scene for many years, and always attracts large crowds at his dances. Peter has been a very good supporter of the station over the years, performing at a number of the concerts. The past six months has been a difficult time for Peter and fellow entertainers, watching their living wiped out due to the Covid pandemic.
