Hello everyone and now we are into phase 2 of coming  out of the Covid 19 lock down and things are looking up, thankfully the message is “dont let Covid get in the way”. This can be seen every  day by the way individuals  and businesses have come up with new ideas of just keeping their  heads above water and we’ll done to them all. We must not forget however to continue to support our own local businesses who have been there for all of us through thick and thin and to buy Irish where possible.

The tidy towns volunteers did tremendous  work last weekend on the river walk and the concrete pathway looks fabulous, along with the planting.  Well done to all concerned. Despite less traffic on the roads there’s not one day I go walking that I don’t come home with a bag of empty  cans, plastic bottles  and cigarette boxes  It would help  if people refrained from throwing their rubbish about as our Tidy Towns people deserve more recognition.
What a very special week it is this week for Nora Lynch of Glasha, Athea, and her family as she reaches the wonderful age of 100 years. What an achievement and it couldn’t  have happened  to a nicer person, a real lady. I’m sure everyone  in the parish and beyond would like to wish her the happiest  of birthdays and the health to enjoy more to come.
Just to finish  with a few of the golden rules of life   Make peace with your past so it wont destroy your present.
TIME  HEALS ALMOST EVERYTHING
NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE  FOR YOUR HAPPINESS  BUT YOU.
SMILE, YOU DO NOT OWN ALL THE PROBLEMS  IN THIS WORLD.
HAVE A SAFE  ,HAPPY, AND STRESS FREE WEEK.  WE ALL WILL  HOPEFULLY LOOK AT LIFE DIFFERENTLY AFTER COVID 19.
