In the midst of all this Covid drama there is good news. I have a new neighbour. Welcome to the world John Patrick Mulvihill. Congratulations to Kim and Thomas Mulvihill, Glenbawn on the birth of their son John, a little brother for Maggie, this past week. Kim is granddaughter to Jack O’Grady who died in March. All are doing well.

Both our parish Churches are open for private prayer from this week . The opening times of each church are as follows: Loughill Church: 10:30am until 5pm

Ballyhahill Church: 9:00am until 6pm. A few people have said to me how glad they are that the doors are open again as they love going in for some quiet time. So that is more good news.

The fine weather continues with more and more work being done around houses and gardens. The inside work can wait for a rainy day which is bound to come sooner or later.

I hear that the small libraries will not open yet and only a few of the big libraries will be open in June. So life in the library world will be changed for another while. More on this later when I know more. We all have to adapt to these changes whether we like it or not.

Some children miss going to school while others do not want to go back to school anymore as they are enjoying the freedom too much. Pros and cons on all sides.
