Athea GAA

Sympathy:

Athea GAA offer sympathy to the family of the late Nora McCoy, Gortnagross, who went to her eternal reward this past week. Also to the Mahony family of Templeathea on the death in Australia of Mary Mahony, wife of Jack. ‘May they rest in peace.

What’s Next:

What’s next – that’s the question that will be asked at the all important meeting at the hall on Wednesday night 11th from 7.30-9.30pm. All members are asked to be present, along with past-members, non-members, all clubs and organisations in our parish. The club are hoping to develop a 3 year strategic plan which will benefit many. The meeting will give everyone the opportunity in our community to have their say in the club’s future. You are asked to come along and share ideas so that a plan can be put in place involving all clubs. There will be a speaker on the night. The AGM will be coming up in January and there are still a couple of draws to go in the club draw. We look forward in anticipation to “Operation Transformation” when the GAA track will be flooded by both walkers/runners and “track lights”.
