Club Draw:
The 4th and half-way draw of the Club draw will be held at Donie’s Bar on this coming Saturday night. Everyone is wished the best of luck and you can still join in at this stage for the remaining draws at €10 a month. ‘If you’re not in you can’t win’.
Pitch Work:
Work at the pitch is ongoing with the lighting ducting going in with poles to be erected this week. This indeed will make another huge difference to Páirc na nGael and especially to the running track and it’s surrounds and for night training on the pitch. For a small parish it’s brilliant to have such a pitch, lighting and even “a stand” which some much larger towns don’t have as an important facility.
Collection:
The annual church-gate collection will be coming up in the next while so you are asked for your continued support to continue upgrading the facilities.

Athea GAA Club want to wish all the very best to some of it’s very dedicated players. Jonathan Fitzgerald and Kieran Hartnett have left for ‘Down Under’ recently. Denis Greaney leaves for a teaching job in Abu Dhabi this week and Dylan Griffin for America. No doubt they will all ‘leave their mark’ on the playing fields in their various destinations. Hopefully they will all be back to their home pitch in a few years.
