Ballyhahill Pre-school, under the efficient and creative Sharon Griffin,  has a few spaces for the coming September. If anybody is interested call Sharon on 087 4587601 for more details.

Thanks to all who contributed to the recent Sacristan’s collection in Loughill/Ballyhahill. Mary O’Brien is our new Sacristan and is doing a great job.

We are coming up to Exam time for Junior and Leaving Cert students, so we pray that they will be able to cope with whatever challenges they meet and that they will get their hearts’ desire in their choice of work and study. The students were remembered at the weekend Masses in Loughill/Ballyhahill last weekend.

Congratulations to our local man John Sheahan on being re-elected to the Limerick City and County Council once again. I am sure the past few weeks have been hectic for all our candidates and their families. It was great to see that neither Glin or Athea were plastered with posters for the weeks previous and thanks to the politicians for respecting the wishes of the Development committees. As well as being unsightly there is the added problem of disposing of them afterwards.

Best wishes to Athea on the forthcoming Fleadh Ceoil this weekend. We hope that the weather stays fine to add to the enjoyment which is in store for all of us. Of course we have Writer’s Week events to look forward to also so there won’t be any dull moments at all for the Bank Holiday. Enjoy it all.

Glin Library will be closed on next Tuesday and Wednesday June 4/5. Re-opens on Thursday at 11 am.
