Mick Mackey:

Athea GAA thank sincerely all those who have bought a ticket for the forthcoming Mick Mackey draw. The club appreciates it very much as they benefit from all purchases.

Hurling:

Well the hurling is going in full swing at the moment with all the under age players so enthusiastic. Every  Sunday morning training at the pitch is buzzing and no doubt the young players will go from strength to strength as they learn their new skill.

Pitch:

Well the pitch at Páirc na nGael is looking extremely well at the moment and the walking track is being used day and night now for both walkers and runners. It’s great to have the lights up and hopefully in the not too distant future the remainder of the lights will be erected thus enabling training, walking/running to continue into the darker evenings.

Games:

With not many games going on at the moment due to students studying for exams etc, there’s no news on the match circuit. However, in the next few weeks things will pick up and it will be full steam ahead then.
