Seeing as Bridget Healy has retired as Sacristan in Ballyhahill, Fr Austin is inviting anybody interested in presenting for an interview for the Sacristan to contact him at 087 2615471 or 069 82103.  He will give you a list of what is required for the position.

It is nice to see those children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this year coming to Sunday Mass as a group, together with their parents. Fr Austin invites them and the parents into the sacristy for special preparation during homily time. I know that many of us are confused about our beliefs and many do not believe but whatever way it goes it is heartening to see people doing their best for their children and expanding their own religious education also.

Ballyhahill NS Parents Association wishes to thank you for your generous support to the Church Gate collection. Don’t forget to keep the 15th March free for the Table Quiz in the Knockdown Arms. Two years ago was a great success with all the local clubs and organisations putting a table together so hopefully that can happen again this year. All are welcome.

Gerald Griffins Ladies Football Club is holding the AGM on this coming Friday, February 22nd @8.30pm in the GAA Clubhouse. All welcome and they would love to see more people actively involved.

The Abha Bhan Drama group is gearing up for the drama competition organised by Knockaderry/Clouncagh on March 2nd. This will be the second last night of the festival which begins this coming Friday night and will entail six nights of different plays. These are judged by Pat Nolan and the winner announced on the Sunday night of March 3rd. Best of luck to the cast of the Abha Bhan: Laura Kerin as Sive, Jayne Daly as Mena, Helen Hayes as Nanna, Pat Noonan as Mike, Tony O’Shaughnessy as Thomasheen, Brendan Stack as Scuab, Terence McSweeny as Bocock, Gerard Stack as Carthalawn and Martin Halpin as Sean Dota. Eleanor McSweeney assisted by Caroline Gee and Edel Mullane directing. Exciting times for all.

There is some lovely new art in Glin Library by local artists.
