A.G.M:

The A.G.M. of Athea GAA will take place at the Clubhouse on this Sunday evening, December 9th at 8pm. All players, mentors, members and of course members of the Mothers and Others, Ladies Club and any individuals please come along as the AGM is the place where you can ‘air your views’ help with the running of the club, share your ideas and a lot more. It’s “very important” that everyone realizes that you must be a ‘Member’ of Athea GAA to be in with a chance of getting a ticket when it comes to All Ireland and other important matches. If you are not a member, your name cannot be entered for the draw – this rule is the same for all clubs. With almost €250,000 having gone into the pitch (which is one of the best around) and the lights and running track, it’s important that everyone gets behind the Club as with all help the outstanding debt can be again  brought down. The S.D.C. show on March 1st will be the next major fundraiser and this should be brilliant if Lip-Sync is anything to go by last time around. As soon as Christmas is over the practicing and dancing routines will get underway.
