Thanks:

First of all the club wish to thank most sincerely everyone who gave so generously to the weekend Church gate collection. It was very much appreciated, as every cent counts when you are running a club and doing continuous pitch improvements. This week it is hoped the track floodlights will be going up – which will be of a huge benefit to all those walking and training.

Social:

Well, the “long awaited night” is almost upon us. This Friday night, October 5th sees the much looked forward to Celebration Social/Commemoration night celebrating the 1963 team’s 55th anniversary and the 1968 team’s 50th anniversary, taking place at the Devon Inn, Templeglantine. The reception is at 7pm and the dinner and commemoration ceremony at 8pm, followed by music and dancing to Neily O’Connor and disco afterwards. You are asked to come early to enjoy the reception part of the night. If you yet haven’t got a ticket there are just a few left. Family tables have been booked, as it ‘s going to be a real celebration for family and team members. If you still need to have a specific place booked phone me on 087-1233361.

Underage Training:

U6 to U16:

Training for U6 up to U16 continues in the Hall on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7pm. All new players welcome.

Gaelic for Mothers and Others:

Our Gaelic for Mothers and others team traveled to Askeaton on Sunday last to play the locals as part of the Memorial Day held in Askeaton. Our ladies really had a great time and enjoyed the outstanding football they played for the entire match. Their hand passing, kicking, soloing, scoring and most importantly team play was a pleasure to watch. All the training and coaching done over the past few months, really shone out on the day. Many thanks to Askeaton Gaelic For Mothers and Others for inviting us and for the refreshments afterwards. Panel; Maura Ahern, Mag Barrett, Loretta Brouder, Stacey Galvin, Helen Cleary, Deirdre Mullane, Olivia Quinn, Katherine O’ Connor, Laura Brosnan, Michelle Cahill, Mary Teahan & Jackie Broderick.

Football training continues for Gaelic for Mother and others every Tuesday evening in Páirc na nGael from 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along for an hour of football, fun and friendship.
