Mass times in Loughill and Ballyhahill will change this coming weekend. Saturday evening Mass will be in Loughill while Sunday morning will revert to Ballyhahill.

Wed 31st is the Eve of All Saints and Mass will be in Ballyhahill at 6pm.

Thurs Nov 1st        is All Saints Day with Mass in Loughill at 10 am.

Fri  2nd  is All Souls Day with Mass in Ballyhahill at 9 am.

Masses this coming weekend will be offered for all those whose funerals took place in the parish during the past twelve months.

The Church Gate Collection for our Parish Clerks will be held on the weekend of November 10/11. As usual we ask that you support this collection and show appreciation for the work Bridget and Frances do behind the scenes. Please avoid any other collection  that weekend.

The Abha Bhán Drama Club wishes to thank all those who supported the recent fundraising night in Bárr na Sráide. The funds raised will help pay the necessary Drama League of Ireland fees and  insurance and buy some props for the stage. Excitement is mounting now as the members head into November. Productions of Sive are planned for November 30th, December 1st, December 7th and December 8th in the Parish Hall Ballyhahill. Your support will be appreciated after the months of hard work put into learning the lines and rehearsing!

Owvane River meeting is arranged in the Parish Hall, Ballyhahill, to discuss the Owvane (White) River and the wider catchment area. The meeting will take place on Thursday, 1st November 2018 at 7.30pm and will last approximately 1 hour. The meeting will include an overview of why the Owvane (White) River was selected as Priority Area for Action. There will be representatives of the Local Authority Waters Programme, Teagasc and co-ops in attendance. This meeting is for all interested in their local water bodies, including local residents from throughout the catchment, community reps, tidy towns, anglers, land owners/farmers, etc. There will be a Questions & Answers session and an opportunity for informal discussion for all during tea and coffee after the meeting. All are encouraged to attend and all are welcome.

Craft Fair The Craft Fair which was so successful last year will take place this year on the 25th November in the Parish Hall.

Killeaney Annual Social will be held in the Knockdown Arms on this coming Saturday November 3rd. All support will be appreciated.

The 20th visit of The Irish Rambling House Show is in the UK this weekend. To quote Joe Harrington

It is a two hour show of Irish traditional music, song, dance and storytelling. I think most people come for the humorous stories. Our slogan is ‘If laughter is the best medicine then the Irish Rambling House Show is the Prescription’. Our show lifts the spirits. Hope to see you along the way.”
