Congratulations to Noel O’Connor, son of Joan and Tommy in Turraree, who got married to Norma Kelly last weekend in Ballydesmond and celebrated in Killarney.

Ballyhahill National School is doing a clothing collection at the moment so if you have any bags of unwanted clothes shoes curtains etc please drop them to the school and they will gladly take them from you. If you are unable to drop them just contact the school and a pickup will be arranged.

Don’t forget that on Saturday next October 6th the famous Liam McCarthy Cup will be arriving in Gerald Griffins GAA clubhouse from 10am to 12 noon. All are welcome for photos and a chance to lift this famous cup on the day.

Don’t forget the talk on “Mind your Mental Health – a talk for adults” at Glin Library on this Wednesday 3rd October at 8pm. This talk is of concern to all and all are welcome. It is FREE.  

The AGM of the Parish Hall will take place on the 10th October at 7.30 pm in the hall. A Craft Fair is being planned for the 25th November in the Parish Hall. More details later.

The best of luck and a happy retirement is wished to Mike Cummane, Knockdown who is retiring from the Department of Social Welfare in Newcastlewest this weekend after a long service.
