Well Done:

I’m sure there were many happy ‘Mayo’ and ‘Kerry’ supporters in our parish and beyond when both teams won their respective games over the weekend. Hopefully “they will go all the way now” . Who knows there could be a ‘Mayo v Kerry’ All-Ireland and wouldn’t that be fun!

500 Draw:

Well, the tickets are going well for the forthcoming annual fund-raising Club Draw. Following an executive Club meeting on Monday last it was hoped that most households will have now purchased a ticket. Seeing as many ages both male and female use the pitch along with the youth of our parish – it’s vital that everyone supports the club by buying a ticket – as the giant advertising poster says –

 “We are fit – we are healthy

Join our Club Draw

And you could be wealthy”

It’s great to see the poster depicting all those groups using the pitch.

Intermediates:

Training continues for the Intermediates as they prepare for their West Final game against Rathkeale in the near future – time and date has yet to be decided. We wish them well.

FAI SOCCER CAMP 2018
Athea Utd are delighted to announce that we will again be running a SportsDirect.com FAI Soccer Camp this year. The camp will take place at The Vales from Monday, July 23^rd to Friday, July 27^th and is open to boys and girls of all abilities from 6-14 years of age.

Bookings can be done online at www.summersoccerschools.ie or by calling 1890653653 to book your child’s place.

The cost to participate is €65 per child with a family discount if they bring another brother or sister along to the same camp.

Each participant will receive an exclusive kit, backpack, football and certificate plus five days of fun-filled coaching from FAI accredited coaches.

All coaches / head coaches are Garda Vetted as is mandatory under FAI guidelines.
