Athea GAA

Premier Game:

Well “The Mothers and Others” lined out at Pairc na nGael here in Athea for their 1st game against a well established Herbertstown on Sunday evening last. I couldn’t make it but I heard it was ‘a fun-filled game’ nothing taken too seriously and as I said previously it’s just a great way for the young mothers to get time for themselves training on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm. They have “fun”, “fitness”, “football” and “frolics”. No doubt  there will be a few pains and aches this week – but well worth it.

500 Draw:

If you haven’t yet got your ticket for the 500 Club Draw you are advised to do so very soon as the first draw will be starting shortly. There are some great prizes – with an extra €1,000 for fully paid up members. You can get tickets from any of the club members or phone me Kathleen on 087-1233361.

Advertise:

Would you like to advertise your company or even if you are an individual, at home or abroad, you might like to have your name on a board at Pairc na nGael. Each board pays an annual minimal fee and this helps to defray the debt on the pitch. Enquiries to Paul Curry on 087-6501673.
