A.G.M.:

The A.G.M. of Athea GAA will take place on this Sunday evening, December 3rd in the Páirc na nGael Clubhouse. Everyone is welcome to come along and new members are especially welcome. Membership fees will be taken up. It’s important that the meeting is well attended so that everyone can “air” their opinions and give their views, so please come along.

Donkey Derby

We held our Donkey Derby on Saturday night last and it was a huge success. It was a very enjoyable night at the Top of the Town Bar with six very exciting races and an Auction race to finish the night off. The winner of the Best dressed lady was Julie Finucane and the winner of the best dressed man was Patrick Ahern. Many thanks to all those who supported us on the night and to all the people who helped out with running of the derby. To all those who bought donkeys in the days leading up to the Derby and to those who bought donkeys for the Auction race, it is greatly appreciated by the club. A big thank you to Johnny and Betty Cotter of the Top of the Town bar for their continued support.
