Jim Prendeville, on behalf of Killeaney AFC,  presents the cheque to Ashlee Woods who is accompanied by her father Jim Woods.

Congratulations to Ashlee Woods, daughter of Jim and Geraldine, Moyreen who won €3600 in the Killeaney Lotto last week. It was presented to her in Knockdown on Sunday night last. The lotto will be worth €2,100 next Sunday night in Moore’s Bar, Carrigkerry. Still a nice sum of money so go on and buy a ticket.

We are into September when everything settles back into routine again after the holidays. The local ICA guild members will be having their meeting in the Parish Hall on Wednesday 13th at 8.10 pm. Anybody is welcome to join providing they are female and over 16! It would be nice to see new ladies joining the group of the present ten members.

I wish the best to Fiona O’Connor, Turraree, who along with friends Rachel and Sarah are opening up in Unit 1, Newtown Centre, Newtown, Annacotty, Castletroy this week. It is great to see young entrepreneurs having the courage to start up a new business in Beauty, Cosmetic and Personal Care. Look up their FB page Base Colour & Co. Go n-éirí libh.

Glin Defibrillator group wishes to thank everybody who supported the Coffee Morning in the newly refurbished Barrett’s pub last Sunday. The grand sum of over €1000 was raised.
