Athea GAA

U/14s:

Well the Athea U/14s had a great win over Foynes on Friday night last in Foynes, on a scoreline of (7-7) to (2-7). Indeed an impressive win. Well done, a great team effort.

U/16s:

The U/16s will be meeting Drom/Broadford in the Co. Final in a couple of weeks time. We wish them well and they will appreciate all support.

Páirc na nGael:

Well the Lippy-fencing is almost erected now and once again another step forward to getting the pitch to 100%. The back wall of the dug-out has been blocked and all hands are on deck to get as much work as possible completed before the winter months.

Intermediates:

The next Intermediate championship match will be against Gerald Griffins on Sunday, August 20th at 7pm in Glin.

500 Draw:

With the next leg of the club draw coming up in the not too distant future – you can still buy a ticket for the remaining draws from any GAA member.

Brainstorm:

You are asked to “brainstorm” and come up with ideas for the winter months for another fund-raiser like last year’s Lip-Sync. Maybe a “Zumba night” – a “battle of the townlands”, a “country and western night” – get your ideas together.
